Helen Lovell
Allow me to introduce myself: my name is Helen Lovell.  For the last 10 years I have wanted to create a personal webpage.  Now that I have mastered my digital camera I thought it was time to become as tech savy as the average 13 year old.

I am a field biologist by training. Currently I am looking for a full time permanent job. If you or anyone you know needs a field biologist do not hesitate to contact me. In the meantime I just finished organizing a tree sale for Volusia County. I sold 12,000 trees to a little over 500 people. I obtained my Bachelors Degree from Mills College in Oakland, California.  Mills is a private all women’s college.  While at Mills I played on the soccer team and lead it to a perfect 0-15-0 record.  Meaning we lost every game but we had a good time and other teams loved playing us.

A couple years later I went back to achieve my Masters Degree in Biology from Georgia Southern University .  in Statesboro, Georgia. While in Georgia I managed to ajust to regional customs and social life.  I dated an educated southerner who taught me to appreciate auto racing, beef (previously I was a vegetarian), and to slowly use one syllable words.

Presently I am working in Florida and it is slowly growing on me.  I am an active volunteer at local community theater called the Bay Street Players .   I work the light board and spotlights.  Orlando is home to many film studios that create commercials, movies and TV programs.  Here is a picture of the set from Man of La Macha .

When I am not working or at the theater I enjoy writing.  My computer crashed so I was only able to scrounge a few of my poems and class assignments.  Here are two samples poems I wrote. One is entitled A Heart of Lightness and the other is called To Amber . Here are two samples of essays I wrote for a couple of my biology classes. I wrote one called Final and the other called Cognition .

Lastly I enjoy traveling.  I have driven through every state in the continental United States at least once.  Clink on the link below to see some of my pictures I took while traveling.

If you have any suggestions on improving this webpage don’t hesitate to email me.  I am learning how to create webpages as I go along.
